Declaration of Gratitude - Tree of Life Synagogue Shooting on October 27, 2018
The Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians recognizes with gratitude the Prehospital Providers and Emergency Physicians whose expertise and skill saved life and limb during the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, PA on October 27, 2018. PACEP formally thanks Pittsburgh EMS, the EMS division of UPP Emergency Medicine, and the Emergency Departments of Allegheny General Hospital, UPMC Mercy Hospital, and UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for their efforts and dedication to the people of Pittsburgh. All of these, many our neighbors and colleagues, responded as they had prepared. PACEP acknowledges and thanks all those who cared for the patients from this tragedy as part of these organizations, and their partners who stood by at the ready and kept Pittsburgh Emergency Departments open for all others that day. We extend our sincerest appreciation and respect for their efforts on that day and every day.
