PEP-PAC Needs You Today!
The Pennsylvania Emergency Physicians Political Action Committee (PEP-PAC) has a goal to raise $22,000 in 2022. Join your colleagues in contributing $22 to meet this goal! PEP-PAC supports emergency medicine advocacy in Pennsylvania efforts by contributing to candidates who advance PACEP’s legislative priorities. PEP-PAC support is bi-partisan because we need both Democrats and Republicans to work together to support emergency physicians and our patients. 2022 is a critical year. In addition to elections for Governor and seats in the Senate and General Assembly, key issues such as mental health, psychiatric boarding, violence against health-care workers, and the independent practice of NPs and PAs are taking center stage – let’s make our voices heard. PEP-PAC has helped Emergency Physicians achieve BIG WINS over the past several years, including: ~ Protected patients from surprise medical billing disputes caused by narrow insurance networks ~ Supported laws that strengthened penalties for assault against health-care workers ~ Worked to expand treatment for patients with Opioid and Substance Use Disorders ~ Advocated for legislation that reduces the burden of ED boarding for patients with behavioral health and acute psychiatric needs Continued success depends on your support!!
