The PACEP Medical Student Council (MSC) is a great opportunity to become more involved in the field of emergency medicine, expand your network, and develop resources to navigate medical school and the residency application process.
PACEP MSC Events MSC holds four regularly scheduled events throughout the year. PACEP also hosts an annual virtual residency fair in August for you to visit with programs without the added time and expense. View PACEP's event calendar for login details.
MSC Leadership The medical student council leadership has been selected through an application process completed by EMRA. Elections are held each year in March. The leadership positions include: Chair; Vice Chair; Secretary; Social Media Chair. About PACEP MSC In partnership with EMRA, PACEP's MSC works to: - Educate medical students about the specialty of emergency medicine and its importance in the medical field; - Facilitate communications with students, EM residents and EM attending physicians; - Develop a network of resources for medical students to access EM-related career advice, EM rotations in Pennsylvania, EM training programs in Pennsylvania, and scholarly activity opportunities; - Promote communication and collaboration with emergency medical interest groups across all medical schools in Pennsylvania; - Provide medical students with opportunities to get more involved with emergency medicine; - Develop leadership roles in organized emergency medicine; - Promote and expand medical student membership in PACEP.
